Electronic Brainbox
Learn about electronics in a fun and exciting way
Electronic BrainBox is a great introduction to the world of advanced electronics. With this kit kids will learn how to build exciting electronic experiments - safely and easily. The parts are plug and play with no tools or soldering required. Join us at the Cork Electronics Industry Association sponsored electronic circuits workshop to learn how lights, motors, burglar alarms and remote control robots all use electricity and electronic circuits to work.
Look around you. How many things can you see that use electricity? Computer games, TVs, mobile phones are just a few. We use electricity everyday in many different ways to help improve our lives. Electronic Engineers work to find new ways to use electricity for the future.
For the past two years, Cork Electronics Industry Association has sponsored Electronic Circuits Workshops at Blackrock Castle Observatory as part of Engineered! A Week of Wonder. This gives children the opportunity to be a brainbox at Corks only interactive Astronomy Centre! Explore our electronic circuits workshop in the historic surrounds of Blackrock Castle. Activity most suitable for children 10 to 12 years of age.
Workshop places are free, but pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited. Booking details can be found on www.weekofwonder.ie.
