John McAuliffe,

John graduated from UCC in 1979 with an honours Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree. He gained a Diploma in Management from UL and continued his professional development with the Irish Management Institute and INSEAD. Following a career in the telecommunications, mini-computer and Personal Computer sectors, John took up the role of Managing Director of Pilz Ireland Industrial Automation when the company was formed in 1998. Following a successful start-up of market operations for the island of Ireland, the charter for Pilz Ireland was extended to include responsibility for the professional services product group globally. John assumed the additional role of Vice President, Pilz International Services Group. Pilz is an active member of the business community in Cork City and John supports the work of industry associations including Cork Electronics Industry Association, Cork Chamber of Commerce and the Ireland branch of IOSH.

The team in Pilz Ireland will discuss how though a culture of collaboration, entrepreneurial responsibility and a special Pilz Ireland spirit, they earned the trust of the family board to continually grow the charter for Pilz activities in Ireland
