Defying the logic of the past to create a more equitable and climate positive world. Listen to how Logitech, as a designer and manufacturer of consumer technology hardware has adopted and elevated Design for Sustainability and Circularity capability within Design, Engineering and Operations to support its commitment to achieving its ambitious Sustainability commitments.
Our guest Speaker is:
Robert O’Mahony, Head of Sustainability, Global Operations, Logitech
Robert leads Logitech’s Global Sustainability function, with responsibility for driving Logitech’s “Pervasive Sustainability” commitment to deliver on the company’s ambition to help Sustainability become “..a mindful principal infused into everything we do at Logitech”. Over the past decade Robert has overseen this transformation by building and fostering a team with capability, drive and ambition who are delivering on this broader vision. He advocates for a science-based approach to transformation and oversees Logitech’s commitment to being climate-positive by 2030 ‘removing more carbon than we create’ by focussing on a strategy of Reduce, Renew, Restore and Rethink.
- Reduce their carbon footprint by utilizing Design for Sustainability (DfS) and Circular Economy solutions in support of the 1.5 C Paris Agreement;
- Renew their footprint by shifting to 100% renewable electricity throughout our supply chain;
- Restore ecosystems through investments in net zero nature-based solutions while supporting climate-impacted biodiversity and communities and
- Rethink their business by investing in ways to innovate through DfS and developing circular models that reduce waste and extend life, such as trade-in and
refurbishment programs and regenerative technology innovations to support our net zero commitments.
Externally, this approach is resonating with industry, investors and partners. During Robert’s tenure Logitech has emerged as a defined ‘Leader’ in the technology sector for ESG performance and who maintains inclusion on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Europe, the FTSE4GOOD Index and Swiss SIX Sustainability Index as one of the “top 25 most sustainable Swiss companies.”
