Asset lifecycle management is a strategic, intentional practice – whether it be managing end-user devices or data centre equipment. Logistics and storage requirements add complexity to securely managing your IT hardware throughout its lifecycle through end of life.
Iron Mountain Asset Lifecycle Management is a world leader in secure IT asset management and is trusted by more than 90% of the Fortune 1000 for over 70 years. They deliver secure, sustainable hardware asset management and IT asset disposition (ITAD) services on a global scale. Their end-to-end services include best-in-class logistics and chain-of-custody, data sanitisation, and certified decommissioning, with a focus on maximising value, reuse and minimising emissions and e-waste. Iron Mountain process more than 45 million kilograms of e-waste annually and operating in 30+ countries across 6 continents, their consistent global approach delivers reach and scale. They are a partner to some of the world’s largest hyperscalers and enterprises.
By prioritizing circular economy principles, the service helps organisations maximize the ROI of their technology through refurbishment and remarketing while ensuring 100% data sanitization and sustainable e-waste recycling. This comprehensive approach enables global enterprises to reduce their environmental footprint and maintain a strict, audit-ready chain of custody for all retired assets.
According to Gartner (Gartner Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition), “The three most important tasks to execute correctly, and to which ITAD executives should pay special attention, are transportation logistics/chain of custody, data sanitisation, and recycling. These three tasks represent the greatest risk in the ITAD process, and they should be handled by an experienced, well-vetted ITAD service provider.” Iron Mountain is recognised as a Representative Provider in the Gartner Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition for the sixth consecutive time.
