Cork is Stryker’s biggest innovation and manufacturing hub outside of their U.S. headquarters, it began operations in Cork in 1998 with 20 employees and one site. Today, the Cork facilities employ over 4,100 people across six sites, in R&D and manufacturing, and it is home to Stryker’s European operations leadership with many global programs led from Cork. Stryker’s operations in Cork are driving a culture of innovation, which is reflected by the fact that a significant number of employees are working in R&D roles. The Cork R&D teams have contributed to Stryker’s innovative portfolio—from stroke care to hip implants, from surgical instruments to 3D-printed devices.
